Vigdis Jakobsdottir is the Artistic Director and CEO of the Reykjavik Arts Festival since 2016. She was Head of Education at the National Theatre of Iceland from 2002-2011, and program director for MA studies in Theatre Education at Iceland University of the Arts from 2002-2016. Vigdis founded Þjóðleikur, the National Youth Theatre festival in Iceland, and led it from 2008-2017. She served on the executive committee of ASSITEJ from 2011-2017 and was vice president from 2014-2017.
