The Department of Drama and Theatre Studies of "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu was founded in 1997, becomng a traditional partner of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, the "Radu Stanca" National Theatre of Sibiu and the Performing Arts Market. The three BA specialisations (Acting, Theatre Studies - Cultural Management and Choreography), plus the two MAs (Performing Arts Techniques and Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship) play an important role in the academic community of Sibiu.
