Benoît founded the Romeo & Juliet Choir in 1991 and has been employed at the Dramaten since 1986. During that time he has also worked as a singer and producer. In 2000, Benoît Malmberg and the Romeo & Juliet Choir were awarded the "Ingmar Bergman Award" and in 2012 the Medal of H.M. The King of Sweden of the 8th degree in high blue ribbon "For outstanding artistic contributions as director of the Romeo & Juliet Choir".
