Barcelona Flamenco Ballet
David Gutiérrez Molina was born in Barcelona in 1994. His career dates back to as early as the age of 4, with his first steps into the art of flamenco. This bailaor has built his character and essence under the tutelage of famous masters of the genre. His skill and passion have led him to join prestigious dance companies around Spain, but in 2017 he brought his own Flamenco company to life: Barcelona Flamenco Ballet.
The company premiered its first show, “Flamenco Reborn”, with an overwhelming success. Since then, BFB has produced world-renowned productions such as “Tiempo Nuevo” or “Luxuria”, that have been presented in some of the most emblematic opera houses in the world. David has also collaborated with the Ukrainian synchronised swimming team at the Rio 2016 Olympics and choreographed for figure skating champions, demonstrating his ability to fuse flamenco with elite sporting disciplines.
David Gutiérrez stands out due to his overwhelming energy and his ability to connect emotionally with the audience, making him an iconic figure in the Flamenco genre. He has won awards such as ‘Performing Arts Award of the Andalusian Federation of Communities of Catalonia’ and has been nominated for the prestigious Max Awards as ‘Best Male Artist’ and ‘Best Choreographer’ for his masterpiece “Flamenco Reborn”.

The masterclasses are designed as an opportunity for the participants to see and engage into the creative act of great choreographers who participate in the program of Sibiu International Theatre Festival. The masterclass has two dimensions: a brief presentation of the movement concepts used to create a performance and the practical one of experiencing the work methods.
