SIPAM 2026: 10 projects selected for this year’s PITCH PROJECT Session

More than 120 projects from around the world were submitted for the PITCH PROJECT Session at SIPAM 2026. After a hard selection process, the jury chose the 10 projects that will be presented this year in Sibiu.
The selected projects come from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Spain, Hungary and Romania, bringing together theatre, dance, circus, aerial performance and interdisciplinary formats.
The projects were selected by the SIPAM 2026 jury: David Baile, Görgün Taner, Hege Knarvik Sande, Lisa Richards Toney, Roy Luxford, Tisa Ho, and Vicențiu Rahău.
The 10 selected projects are Macbeth by Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater from Ukraine, NOW by Jasmin Vardimon Company from the United Kingdom, The Conference of the Birds by Insectotropics from Spain, NEXUS by Zenit Aerial Ballet from Spain, Recirquel: Paradisum by Recirquel from Hungary, Lake Machine by Mari Paula from Spain, FRIDA – dance piece by EVA DUDA DANCE COMPANY from Hungary, Lungul drum al zilei către noapte by TNRS from Romania, DONCELLAS (juerga permanente) by ESTÉVEZ/PAÑOS y Compañía from Spain, and YONGOYELY by Circus Baobab from Spain.
The Pitch Project Session will take place on 22 June 2026, starting at 1:00 PM, at MyContinental Hotel Sibiu. The event is open to the public, and access is free, as is the case for all SIPAM 2026 events with public access.
SIPAM thanks all artists, companies and organizations who applied this year. Even if only 10 projects could be selected for the pitch session, all applicants are invited to come to Sibiu and take part in the wider SIPAM programme, which includes networking events, professional meetings and opportunities for future collaborations.
The 2026 edition continues to position SIPAM as a meeting point for artists, cultural managers, presenters, producers and international partners interested in discovering new work and building meaningful connections across the performing arts field.
