Zbigniew Cierniak is a cultural manager and Director of the 'SLASK' Ensemble since 2011, associated with the institution for over 30 years. He joined the Ensemble in 1992 and advanced from choir performer to director. Under his leadership, 'SLASK' expanded its international presence through collaborations in the USA, Canada, Japan and China. Awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and 'Gloria Artis' medals, he successfully leads 'SLASK', widely regarded as one of the leading ambassadors of Polish culture.
