SIPAM PR & Communication Officer
Iulia Rusu has maintained a long-term and meaningful engagement with the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS), beginning with four years of volunteering, during which she worked alongside international companies from Italy, Spain, and France. In 2024, she assumed the role of Coordinator of the Incident Management Team within the FITS Volunteer Programme, leading a team of over 40 volunteers. Since 2025, she has been a member of the SIPAM team, contributing to the programme's communication and promotional strategies.
Since 2024, Iulia has served as President of ConectART, a platform for talent booking and the promotion of emerging artists in the Romanian performing arts field. She is currently completing an MA in Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship at the Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of Letters and Arts, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. Alongside her academic work, she is active as an education trainer in collaboration with academic institutions and private organisations, and is involved in the production management of student theatre projects in Sibiu.
Iulia holds a degree in Performing Arts from Hyperion University in Bucharest and a degree in Communication and Public Relations from the School of Socio-Human Sciences at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. She brings three years of professional experience as an actress in Bucharest's independent theatre scene and has contributed to productions with the Romanian National Opera. Her artistic practice has further developed through international collaborative projects, with a particular engagement with the Italian theatre landscape.
