After three intensive years of acting training at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, graduating June 2025,, specializing in Meisner technique and Uta Hagen methodologies, Antonia Maria Ilies has evolved into a promising director. Her performance background enriches her directorial approach, currently showcased in "Our Golden Children," her adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull. Previous directing credits include the original text "My Ana" ( Barcelona, 2023) and "The Bonavich Portrait" (Sala Rapsodia, Bucharest, 2022). Ilies has expanded into film, directing "A House Full of Oranges" and "The Ophelia Scriptures" in 2024. Her work explores psychological depth while maintaining bold aesthetics, informed by a versatile performance career including roles in "The Party" (Teatro Gaudi).
