A spontaneous space for creation born in 1966 on the side of the "In" Festival d'Avignon, the festival Off Avignon is today one of the largest worldwide live performing arts festivals.
A unique model built with the independent structures that participate in it, the festival Off Avignon welcomes all the richness and diversity of national and international artistic creation.
Every summer, Avignon becomes a city-festival with six thousands of artists who take over the streets and more than a hundred theatres in the city. 1500 performances during 3 weeks. 21,9 million tickets sold in 2023.
