The National Chamber Choir Madrigal-Marin Constantin, celebrating 61 years of uninterrupted activity in 2024, stands as a landmark in the musical life and cultural diplomacy of both national and international levels. A unique creation of the legendary conductor Marin Constantin (1925 – 2011), the Madrigal Choir still maintains its unique sound, interest in a highly diverse and extensive repertoire, spectacular stage presence, also due to the imposing period costumes, and above all, the spirit of excellence. In 2016, the United Nations officially recognized the Madrigal Choir as an Ambassador of Freedom, Hope, and Peace.
The Madrigal Choir's agenda, filled with concerts, performances, festivals, album releases, and recordings, also includes moments dedicated to significant editorial appearances. The most recent of these is the launch of the publication "Madrigal," a new cultural magazine featuring news, interviews, and reviews about the national and international projects of the renowned choral ensemble, as well as information about renowned Romanian artists and cultural organizations.
