With a significant impact on the cultural development of many European cities, the European Capital of Culture initiative aims to promote cultural diversity and understanding among European citizens. Since 1985, two cities have had this title awarded annually. In 2025, Chemnitz in Germany and Nova Gorica in Slovenia will form a dynamic duo and showcase their heritage and contemporary arts scene through a series of events. Representatives of the Nova Gorica 2025 will share their curatorial process and plans to bring culture close to the heart of their community.
