Started in December 2014, Be SpectACTive! is a large-scale European cooperation project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme. Based on a network of 19 partners in 15 EU countries, it operates in the performing arts sector through a multilayered strategy of audience engagement. Among its activities, in the last 4 years the project have co-produced 15 shown: co-commissioned 4 new art-works with the local communities; co-programmed 222 shows together with the citizens; in addition an action-research process has followed the entire project and cultural performance.
